meet our nurses

Mandy

Mandy is an essential part of our nursing team, with nearly 10 years experience from Sydney and on the coast. She has been part of the team at Doyalson Animal Hospital since 2006 and has special interests in dentistry and surgical nursing. Mandy has three lovely pets, a Border collie, Nestle, who loves a swim at the beach or the lake and two Burmese cats named Merlin and Suki.


Kate W

Kate completed her advanced nursing course in 1999 and spent several years as head surgical nurse at a specialist veterinary hospital in Sydney. She has returned to the coast and joined our nursing team in 2006. Kate has special interests in surgical and emergency nursing and nursing exotic species. She owns two mad whippet dogs called Jelly and Devo.


Michelle C

Michelle has been with the practice as part of the nursing teams for 5 years. She started as a trainee and is now one of our senior veterinary nurses having been fully qualified since 2003. She has a keen interest in customer service and patient care. Michelle has two exuberant Staffy dogs, Nikki and Buster, a very badly behaved cat, Archie and a quarter-horse named Ginny.



Lucy

Lucy joined our nursing team in 2009, having gained her qualifications and training from a specialist veterinary practice in Sydney. She is particularly interested in surgical nursing but loves also meeting clients at the front desk. Lucy has two cute terriers called Frankie and Cindy.


Kevin

Kevin moved from the hospitality industry in Bermuda to join Doyalson Animal Hospital 4 years ago. Kevin is developing into a caring and excellent nurse, having obtained his certificate IV in veterinary nursing in 2007. He spends his non-working life being run around by his brood of four boxer dog girls and his champion boxer male, Bob and their puppies.


Kate F

Kate has been a veterinary nurse for the past 9 years and joined our team in 2008. She has nursed in practices in the Blue Mountains, Sydney and Newcastle. She has a large amount of experience in nursing exotic species (birds, rabbits etc). Kate has an exuberant Staffy dog named Maggie and a young cat named Slinky.


Celia

Celia has a diploma in veterinary nursing and has been part of Doyalson Animal Hospital since the days at San Remo, having joined the practice in 1996. Celia has a strong interest in wildlife care and has fostered many kangaroos and possums over the years. She also works at Waterfall Springs wildlife sanctuary and teaches the next generation of veterinary nurses at Kurri Kurri tafe. She lives with a menagerie of dogs, cats, birds, horses, a goat, lizards and chooks.


Wendy (Administrator)

Wendy spends her time in the office, paying bills and looking after the accounts. She has a wealth of nursing experience and has been part of the team since 1993. Wendy only works part time so that she has time to spend with her family on their farm. They have a growing menagerie of dogs, cats, reptiles and now cattle.


Michelle H (Practice Manager)

Michelle is the one that keeps us all at Doyalson Animal Hospital focused on the right things. She loves seeing new puppies come into the practice and starting a relationship with them and watching them grow to their senior years. Michelle is also involved in the day to day running of the practice.

 

Jamie-Lynn

Jamie-Lynn looks after all the animals in the hospital wards in the mornings. She spoils your pets rotten when they have stay in hospital. She also does hydrobathing every morning and provides a pickup and delivery service for pets and products.


Jamie

Jamie started work with us after doing work experience in 2007. She works as an animal attendant as she completes her schooling.
