Dr James Yates B.V.Sc
James is a 1991 University Of Sydney graduate who did his first three years in practice in Sydney's western suburbs. He then moved to England where he worked for 6 years in a major small animal practice with many specialists. James has been full-time at the practice since 2001 and has special interests in small animal internal medicine and ultrasonography. He owns two extremely badly behaved Boxers (Nina and Donnie). When not working James is generally found running on the beach.

Dr Sally Smith
Sally is a 'northerner', graduating with honours from the University of Queensland in 1992. She chose Canberra to do her apprenticeship and spent 12 years in 2 large small animal hospitals there before travelling to the UK to work for a year. Sally has returned to settle on the Central Coast. Her special interests are Ophthalmology and internal medicine. She has a Masters of Veterinary Studies from Murdoch University and owns a well behaved Staffy called Willow and a cat called Topaz. She enjoys camping and bike riding.

Dr Jennifer Nesbitt-Hawes B.V.Sc
Dr Jen graduated from Sydney University with honours in 2001. She has worked all around the country in mixed animal and small animal practices. Jen has a masters in conservation and wildlife medicine and most recently has spent time in Sumatra working with Orangutans. Jen is also our enthusiastic puppy preschool teacher.

Dr Emma Leary B.V.Sc
Emma graduated from Sydney University in 2008 with first class honours and joined our vet team early in 2009. She has a passion for her clients and their pets and loves being a vet. She has grown up on Lake Macquarie and in her time off is generally playing sport. We all love her great home made biscuits.

Dr Paul Collins B.V.Sc
Paul graduated from Queensland University with honours in 2005. He also has an Animal Science degree from Nottingham University in the United Kingdom. Paul spent his former years on the island of Jersey, between France and the UK. Paul's veterinary interests are in reproduction, weight management, orthopaedic disease and surgery. When not working he is a family man and mad fisherman around the beaches of Newcastle.
